“Aqueous Phase · Attuning to the Rhythms of the Waves” – On-site Photos, Kosho-ji Temple, Kyoto

This is not merely an exhibition for passive viewing, but a manifestation in which space itself participates as an integral component.
The chanting of the venerable monk is far more than just sound; it resembles more a reflux of time that gently extracts people from the order of daily routine. The breath of spring, the celestial phenomena of the moment, and human respiration interweave into one, rendering the entire field an integrated flow. The surfboard is no longer an inanimate object, but serves as a metaphor for "ferrying" — between motion and stillness, between awareness and unconsciousness, it illuminates how one can ground oneself amid constant flux.
This exhibition does not aim at "comprehension" in the conventional sense; rather, it approximates an immersive on-site experience. Only when the body enters the space does consciousness begin to unclench, and the perceptual capacity of the mind unfolds accordingly. One is no longer a mere viewer, but an organic part of the whole process, establishing connection with the space and with one's inner self beyond words.
Taking this as a starting point, this spring is not merely the beginning of a new season, but the quiet sprouting of an inner order.
